The Sudan Academy of Science, after passing the foundation era with success, and establishment of credible graduate training and applied research, is now looking forward for excellence, quality assurance and accreditation. This envisaged to be achieved by adopting modern strategic planning. Future vision and mission have been clearly stated. Environmental scan, benchmark, and gap- analysis and strategic issues have been analyzed. According after-year strategic plan composed of a number of academic and development projects has been approved, as shown in the following chart
